We hope, like us, you have been following the postponed Womens 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Have you been inspired or even surprised at the quality and pace of the Womens game. Are your daughters begging you to take them to the rugby club, knowing the world of rugby has a place for them?
If the answer is no! There is still time, we highly recommend you catch up on iTv Hub as the final is scheduled for next Saturday England v New Zealand 6pm UK time.We will be cheering on Camberley's home grown star, Alex Matthews who has been a driving force in Englands campaign.
Alex and her sister Fran played rugby at Camberley, joining as kinders aged 4yr and 6yr. Unfortunately for Alex by the time she was ready to play in an all girls team her pathway here at the club could no longer continue, but times have changed. Our growing Girls Section is hosting a rugby taster session for all girls school 5yr to 11yr tomorrow (Sunday 6th Nov) at 11am, it is an open session, perfect for brand new players wanting to give rugby a try and players that have maybe dropped out and are looking to pull their boots back on.
And it's not just for the girls!!
At 1pm we are hosting another session for the Womens team it will be a similar format, fun and fitness, a great opportunity to meet the team and experience what makes our game so inviting. It is suitable for brand new players and ex-players, come along and bring a friend.
We will be watching the England v Argentina match in the clubhouse after and you are all very welcome to join us.
