We send our condolences to wife Sally, son Jack and daughter Amy.

We are sorry to tell you that Richard passed away peacefully on 6 October after a long illness. He was 70 years of age.

Richard was a long-term Camberley supporter regularly attending our matches both home and away. He owned the Crooked Billett pub in Hook for 35 years. Our SCRUFFS enjoyed many a function there.

He would often sponsor our luncheons and matches here. A lifelong rugby fan, in his youth he played for Fylde in Lancashire often propping with Joe Beaumont - brother of current World Rugby President, Bill Beaumont.

We will remember Richard with great fondness: he was a good friend to many fellow SCRUFFS over the years, and will be long remembered at the rugby club, and within our local community.

RIP.
