Club Chair Steve O'Meara leads the tributes to Bill:
--
It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of Bill Murray 58.
Bill was a true club legend, and was loved by all who came into contact with him.
25 years ago Bill started as a mini & junior dad, then became a coach, onto refereeing and culminating in becoming our Club President from 2011-2014.
A rugby player all of his life, he went on to star in our illustrious G&Ts where he not only attended and led the charge on many memorable tours, was also part of the team who reached the Surrey Cup Final.
We will all miss you my friend.
I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Bill’s beautiful family, Sarah, Jossie ,Alex and his Grandchildren all our love at this very difficult time.

We’d like to invite everyone to join us in Mathry Church at 2pm on the 24th February for a celebratory service, followed by Mathry Village Hall for a celebration of Billy’s life.
Billy would only have wanted a colourful affair, so vibrancy is encouraged over black. The brighter the better will help us give him the best possible send off, there are no formal rules here.
We live just opposite the church and the hall, so everything is within easy walking distance. If you feel you can make it to Billy’s send off, we’d love to hear from you and if you have any fond memories/photos, please send them in advance to be added to the photo reel for the hall.
