Beautiful sunshine and lots of smiling facing were present this week as the children turned up for training and at the end of the session, the smiles were still there. This week not only did we have new children to welcome but also 3 new coaches who have kindly volunteered their Sunday mornings to be part of this team.

The session started with a warmup and then from last week, games to focus on catching and passing, using the winning W and pocket to rocket phrases. The end saw a competition between the four teams, an obstacle course which saw lots of cheering and encouragement by the players to their individual teams and a chance to show some of rugby's core values, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Throughout our club, rugby core values are endorsed, and this starts right at the beginning in Kinders. This week we began to teach our future stars the key values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. We awarded 5 certificates this week for each core value to players that displayed these attributes during the session. This will continue throughout their time in Kinders, working towards receiving their green laces for those that demonstrate and embrace these principles.
