Camberley Women turn up the heat in their penultimate game of the season

A full strong squad of 22 made the journey to Basingstoke. A try within the first 10 minutes by Georgina gave Camberley an early lead which set the tone for the rest of the game. From the off Camberley were dominant in attack, keeping the ball alive, putting into practice what had been the focus of recent training, getting the ball through the hands and out wide to the backs. Two more try's followed in succession both scored by Caroline, running hard lines and straight through Basingstoke's defence. Second half saw Lee scoring her amazing first try for the team in the opening minutes of the 2nd half. As the 2nd half progressed, Basingstoke attempted to regroup, launching a few counterattacks. However, Camberley’s defence remained resolute, with hard tackles and effective communication preventing any breakthroughs. Caroline soon made it a hat-trick shortly after, Camberley kept hold of possession the whole time and maintained their relentless pressure on the Basingstoke defence.
