Following a shaky start to the season the team were in good spirits taking the short trip up the M3 to play new comers to the league Basingstoke. Building on their 2nd cup round win v FairFord the team arrived with a strong 'can-do' attitude that took them onto the field ready for the unknown battle ahead. Both teams and supporters respected a 2 minutes silence in honour of remembrance Sunday before kicking off.
Echoing the Rugby World Cup final, Camberley were 14 points ahead in the opening 10 minutes and keep the pressure up with 80% of the first half played in Basingstoke territory. With a strong 31-0 lead at half time, the Camberley coaches used the second half to ensure all 19 members of the squad had a good runout, ensuring two first timers and a handful of new players gained valuable match experience and allowing a switch in position for some
The final result was a solid 41 - 5 to Camberley, check out the teams reaction on our FaceBook and Instagram accounts!
